Welcome to Central Christian Church!

We are located in Van Buren, Indiana and host the Little Panther Preschool.

Mission

It is our mission to ensure that all persons are afforded an opportunity to worship, with an emphasis on Evangelism. Fellowship and serving others is a way of life. Spiritual growth is a prayerful quest.

What We Believe

We are a Bible-centered movement in Christ. We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God.

We have said, "Where the scripture speaks, we speak. Where the scripture is silent, we are silent."

One of our forefathers said, "We are not the only Christians, but Christians only."

Every person who seeks membership in this Church is asked some variation to the simple question, "Do you believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and do you accept Him as Savior and Lord?"

Walter Scott, years ago, taught a five-finger exercise for salvation:  1) Faith; 2) Repentance; 3) Immersion; 4) Forgiveness of sins; 5) Gift of the Holy Spirit.

With a strong emphasis on the Lord's Supper, Disciples have chosen a chalice as their symbol. The chalice bears an X-shaped cross of St. Andrew. We partake of the Lord's Supper every Lord's Day because we believe this is scriptural. The Lord's Supper is celebrated weekly as a central part of worship.
